WELCOME TO THE NEW PARTNERSHIP!      

Welcome and thanks for taking the time to get to know us through our website.

Something new and exciting is happening in downtown Fort Myers!  Beginning April 3rd, 2011 First Baptist is creating a partnership in ministry with a new and dynamic congregation, Elevation Ministries.

The two congregations have agreed to share our facilities located in downtown, in the River District for the purpose of worship, Bible study, discipleship development, fellowship and serving among our neighbors in downtown Fort Myers.  We believe we can be stronger together than apart, and we believe God has brought us together for such a time as this.

This partnering will mean two worship experiences on Sundays.  First Worship, the traditional First Baptist worship experience will begin at 8:45 am on Sundays and the Elevation Worship, the contemporary worship of Elevation Ministries will begin at 10:45 am.  Both worship experiences will be held in the Sanctuary on the corner of 2nd and Jackson Streets.

First Baptist has a rich heritage and together with our Elevation partners we have a challenging and exciting present and a hopeful and promising future.  You are invited to be a part of this "blended" family as we serve here in downtown and the greater Fort Myers area.
